Patek Philippe is introducing four new models from the Nautilus collection at Watches & Wonders 2021. The new Nautilus 5711/1A-014, with its olive green dial, stands out in particular, and replaces the discontinued Nautilus 5711/1A with a blue dial.
In addition, the manufacture is also launching a variation of this new 5711/1A-014 with a diamond-set bezel. Elsewhere, Patek Philippe is introducing the Travel Time Chronograph 5990/1R-001 in a rose-gold case with a blue dial. Finally, the Genevese horology house is introducing a Ladies’ Nautilus in rose-gold, set with 2553 diamonds.
Patek Philippe Nautilus 5711/1A-014 with olive green dial
The sunburst finish complements the colouring and picks up on the light reflections on the steel case. The olive green also contrasts with the luminescent hands and indices in white gold. For the case, Patek Philippe relies on the familiar design blueprint and, as usual, the automatic calibre 26-330 S C ticks inside. Last but not least, the water resistance of up to 120 m remains the same. According to the horological house, the new 5711/1A-014 will only be produced for one year – hence we are talking about a limited production, but not limited edition.
Patek Philippe Nautilus 5711/1300A-001 with baguette diamonds
The Patek Philippe Nautilus 5711/1300A-00 combines a steel case with a diamond-set bezel. In order for the 32 baguette diamonds (~3.6 carats) to fit into the rounded bezel, each stone is cut slightly trapezoidal, instead of rectangular. Similarly to the model above, powering this Nautilus is the 26-330 S C calibre.
Patek Philippe Travel Time Chronograph 5990/1R-001 in Rose Gold
The Patek Philippe Travel Time Chronograph 5990/1R-001 complements the Nautilus 5990/1, with the latter first appearing in stainless-steel back in 2014. The new watch appears in a rose-gold case with a blue dial. Inside the 5990/1R-001 ticks the calibre CH 28-520 C FUS with automatic winding. It combines a flyback chronograph with a travel time function and a date at 12 o’clock. The watch also features two day/night displays with the headings “LOCAL” and “HOME”. An integrated rose-gold bracelet secures the watch to the wrist with a folding clasp.
Patek Philippe Nautilus High Jewellery 7118/1450R-001
With the Patek Philippe Nautilus Haute Joaillerie 7118/1450R-001, the Swiss company is expanding its range of ladies’ models. The new model is made of rose gold and measures 35.2 mm in diameter. Patek Philippe sets the watch with 2553 brilliant-cut diamonds (~12.69 carats).
Another special feature is the snowflake setting on the case, bezel and bracelet, in which the watch is set with diamonds without a grid. The utmost care is taken to bring the stones as close together as possible. This technique makes each watch unique. Finally, the manufacture equips the model with the calibre 324 S with automatic winding.

A few weeks back we mentioned the Panerai Luminor Submersible 1950 Bronzo while introducing bronze watches at swisswatches. We now managed to get our hands on to a piece with very unique patina, which we found so thrilling that we dedicated it a little photo story. Talking about Breguet, if you only have extravagant, skeletonized and hand-guilloched pieces of art with sophisticated complications in mind, you should take yourself the time to dive deeper into the history of the Maison. This is deliberately meant to be understood in a double sense, because it’s the ‘Marine’ collection that is pretty much distinctive…
When Axel Leuenberger and his three companions decided to launch a new watchmaking company, they had a fairly clear idea of their goal: to create timepieces that were ‘beyond products’. Leuenberger, the CEO of Vanguart watches founded in 2017, is rather laidback when describing his integral role at the company: ‘I jump between various roles;…

They allow you to keep track of up to two additional time zones alongside the local time – a practical companion for businesspeople, frequent flyers, and globe-trotters. But how did GMT watches come by their world-famous name, how do…
Despite iconic watch models in their 51-year history, many collectors and connoisseurs of fine mechanics do not necessarily associate Porsche Design with the term 'watch manufacturer'. And yet Porsche Design's Swiss subsidiary, Porsche Design Timepieces AG, is currently developing something that could turn the Swiss watch world upside down and revolutionise it. An exclusive visit…
The German watch brand Stowa has undergone an impressive range of developments over the course of its history. Around 1937, ten years after its foundation, Stowa began manufacturing watches in the Bauhaus style – a rarely implemented design at the time. Its original manufacturing building was completely destroyed by a bombing raid in 1945, but…

In Italy, la mia famiglia is the most important thing in life – food is a close second. Powerful blood lines such as the Florentine Medici and Roman Orsini families have historically dominated art, religion and politics across the centuries. Even today, generations of Italian families are woven together by strong emotional connections and infallible support networks. The Italian Swiss manufacture…
October 24 is a day of significance for A. Lange & Söhne. On this very day in 1994, Walter Lange and Günter Blümlein presented the company's first four watches in Dresden.
