At LVMH Watch Week 2021, Hublot presented not only the Big Bang Automatic Tourbillon, but also three new models from the Integral range. When the first generation of the model was launched in 2020, Hublot offered a variant with a ceramic case. Now the Swiss manufacturer is expanding the color palette: the Hublot Big Bang Integral Ceramic is available with a case made of blue, gray or white ceramic.
Ceramic: scratch-resistant high-tech material
The 42 mm case of the Hublot Big Bang Integral Ceramic is made entirely of ceramic, except for the bezel flanks. The material combines scratch resistance with low weight. It is two to three times harder than steel, but at the same time 30% lighter. In addition, ceramic is comfortable to wear thanks to its low thermal conductivity.
The Integral differs from the other models of the Big Bang collection by its fully integrated bracelet, which is also made of ceramic. This bracelet is specially designed for this model. The sharp-edged style echoes the features of the case. In addition, a titanium butterfly folding clasp secures the watch to the wrist.
The skeletonized dial allows you to see the mechanics. Thus, the date ring of the window can be seen at 3 o’clock as can be the column wheel at 6 o’clock. A small seconds sits at 9 o’clock, while a 60-minute counter is located at 3 o’clock. The broad hands and indices are all filled with luminous material, ensuring readability even at night.
The movement inside the Hublot Big Bang Integral Ceramic
Hublot equips the Integral with its in-house caliber HUB1280. It is based on Hublot’s UNICO platform and consists of 354 components and 43 rubies. The automatic winding allows for a maximum power reserve of 72 hours. The chronograph offers a flyback function and makes use of a column wheel. With a frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 vph), the timepiece stops to the nearest eighth of a second.
The watch ist water resistant to 10 bar or about 100 meters. The Hublot Big Bang Integral Ceramic is available from today. The price for all three variants is 22,700 euros.
