SIHH 2019: Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Ultra Thin Tourbillon in Pink Gold
At the Geneva watch fair in January 2019 the Swiss watch manufacture, who already presented its first ultra thin watch in 1907, now launched the Master Ultra Thin Tourbillon (Ref. Q1682410) in pink gold. Like the first watches of this collection the design of the new model is simple, but elegant. The roundness of its case, the strong presence of its hour-markers and its Dauphine hands emphasize the gentle forms of the watch. The finishes of its Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 978G are visible on the back of the watch. As well the tourbillon and its cage can be seen through a window at the 6 o’clock position.

The dial of the new Jaeger-LeCoultre model is eggshell-coloured and especially marked by the prominent, now larger hour-markers with their gilded, honed silhouette. At the 6 o’clock position the tourbillon, which has a new bridge made of gold, is located. On the back of the watch the new mainplate of its automatic movement is visible, decorated with a sunray finish.

Particularly special to the design of the model is the contrast between the linearity of its hands and hour-markers and the interaction of the individual components of the tourbillon, which provides the watch with a balanced and aesthetic design. The brown alligator leather strap completes the style of the watch with its natural structure. The only 10,77 mm thin case of the Master Ultra Thin Tourbillon houses the calibre Jaeger-LeCoultre 978G. The mechanical self-winding movement offers a power reserve of 45 hours.
The 186 year-old history of Jaeger-LeCoultre is based on many technical and artistical achivements. By now the Swiss manufacture has developed more than 1,200 calibers and has over 400 patents. On the Swiss watch fair SIHH 2019 the brand, established in Vallée de Joux in 1833, presented the Master Grande Tradition Gyrotourbillon Westminster Perpétuel, the first multi-axis…
