Blancpain Villeret: Complex Masterpieces Featuring Forest Green Dials
Blancpain has expanded its prestigious Villeret collection with new models that celebrate the brand’s heritage and the natural beauty of the Vallée de Joux through stunning green dials. These models include the Villeret Extraplate, the Villeret Quantième Phases de Lune, the Villeret Quantième Complet, and the Villeret Tourbillon Carrousel. The rich green of the dials, inspired by the pines of the Vallée de Joux, forms a breathtaking contrast with the 18-carat red gold cases. These timepieces combine technical sophistication and aesthetic beauty, reflecting Blancpain’s commitment to horological excellence and innovation.
Masterful Red Gold Cases
The cases of the new Villeret models are crafted from 18-carat red gold and feature the distinctive double-stepped bezel that makes Blancpain watches so recognisable. The dimensions vary according to the model: the Villeret Extraplate has a diameter of 40 mm and a height of just 8.70 mm, making it one of the slimmest watches on the market. The Villeret Quantième Phases de Lune is housed in a delicate 33.20 mm case. The Villeret Quantième Complet and the Tourbillon Carrousel come with cases measuring 40 mm and 44.6 mm in diameter, respectively. Despite their different sizes and complexities, all the cases offer a water resistance of 3 bar, equivalent to approximately 30 metres. These red gold cases are not only robust and elegant but also feature a transparent sapphire crystal case back, revealing the beautifully crafted movements within.
Green Sunburst Dials
The new models in the Villeret collection are adorned with captivating green dials featuring a fine sunburst finish. This shade of green evokes the natural beauty of the Vallée de Joux and recalls the majestic pine forests surrounding the Blancpain manufacture in Le Brassus. The dial of the Villeret Extraplate is a masterpiece of simplicity and elegance, displaying hours, minutes, seconds, and a date window without disrupting the calming effect of the green hue. The Villeret Quantième Phases de Lune stands out with its poetic moon phase display, framed by nearly 1 carat of brilliant-cut diamonds on the bezel. The dial of the Villeret Quantième Complet offers a harmonious display of the date, day, and month, complemented by a moon phase indicator. The complex Villeret Tourbillon Carrousel, integrating both a flying tourbillon and a flying carousel, also features a sub-dial for the date and a power reserve indicator on the movement side.
Technical Masterpieces Inside
The calibre 1151 of the Villeret Extraplate is only 3.37 mm thick and offers an impressive power reserve of 100 hours, achieved through two coupled barrels. The Villeret Quantième Phases de Lune is powered by the automatic calibre 913QL.P, offering a 40-hour power reserve and featuring Blancpain’s famous moon phase display. The calibre 6654 of the Villeret Quantième Complet provides a full calendar display and a moon phase complication, all protected by Blancpain’s patented correctors under the lugs. The most complex is the calibre 2322 of the Villeret Tourbillon Carrousel, which integrates both a flying tourbillon and a flying carousel and offers a power reserve of 168 hours. These movements are equipped with silicon balance springs, enhancing their chronometric performance and durability. All the movements are visible through the transparent sapphire case backs, allowing admiration of the meticulous craftsmanship and technical expertise that has gone into each watch.
Elegance on the Wrist
The straps of the new Villeret models are crafted from high-quality alligator leather, perfectly matched to the respective dials. The Villeret Extraplate and Villeret Quantième Complet feature straps with a 22 mm lug width, while the Villeret Quantième Phases de Lune has an 18 mm lug width. The strap of the Villeret Tourbillon Carrousel is 23 mm wide. Each strap is equipped with an 18-carat red gold buckle, ensuring secure fit and comfort.

The new models in the Blancpain Villeret collection are launched in August 2024 and will be available worldwide through select retailers and Blancpain’s own boutiques. Prices vary by model, starting at approximately EUR 23,700 for the Extraplate.
