Frederique Constant + Watch Angels Worldtimer Manufacture: New Co-Creation With The Community
Frederique Constant presents a limited edition Worldtimer Manufacture in 40mm, a co-creation with Watch Angels. Watch Angels, an independent Swiss platform, is disrupting the traditional watch industry through “crowdmanufacturing.” This approach connects watch enthusiasts, designers, and manufacturers to create unique timepieces directly from concept to wrist. The new Frederique Constant + Watch Angels Worldtimer Manufacture offers a refined case and dial as well as the in-house FC-718 movement.
Case
The case of this Worldtimer Manufacture measures 40.5 mm in diameter which makes it more compact than the 43 mm of the main line. It remains made of stainless steel and has a polished bezel and vertically brushed lugs, giving it a dynamic yet elegant appearance. The case profile is horizontally brushed, adding to the aesthetic. Despite housing a complex movement, the case gives an impression of slimness. The crown is used to operate all functions, eliminating the need for additional pushers. The watch is water resistant up to 5 bar (50 meters) and features a domed sapphire crystal with triple anti-reflective coating, ensuring durability and clarity. On the back there are the limited edition number as well as the hallmark of Watch Angels.
Dial
The dial of the Frederique Constant + Watch Angels Worldtimer Manufacture is designed for optimal readability. The city disk is inclined and the date has been removed, resulting in a clean and contemporary look. Applied indexes and a 24-hour disk with polished sun and sandblasted moon semi-hemispheres enhance the functionality. The three-part dial showcases the know-how of Frederique Constant and Watch Angels, prioritising clarity and ease of use.
Movement
At the heart of the Worldtimer Manufacture lies the in-house FC-718 movement. Composed of 139 parts, the movement comes in with a thickness of 13.4 mm. While all functions can be operated via the crown, which eliminates the need for pushers, the power reserve is only 38 hours. An open sapphire case back reveals the open worked rotor and intricate decorations such as stripes and blued screws, hallmarks of Swiss watchmaking.
Strap
The Worldtimer Manufacture comes with a handmade genuine leather strap. The strap complements the watch’s elegant design and ensures a comfortable fit. A stainless steel folding clasp provides secure closure.
Price & Availability
The new Worldtimer Manufacture is limited to 718 pieces. It will be available exclusively through Watch Angels, with the order window opening on February 13, 2025. The recommended retail price is 4,490 CHF. Interested collectors should hurry to secure one of the limited pieces.
