Jaeger-LeCoultre
Ever since its founding by Antoine Le Coultre in 1833 in the Vallée de Joux, Swiss luxury watch manufacturer Jaeger-LeCoultre has been regarded as a pioneer of fine watchmaking. Its close collaboration with the French watchmaker Edmond Jaeger, who commissioned ultra-thin movements from the company, led to the adoption of the name Jaeger-LeCoultre in 1937. With over 1,200 calibres developed and more than 400 patents to its name, the so-called ‘watchmaker of watchmakers’ has made significant contributions to the technical evolution of the industry. Since 2000, Jaeger-LeCoultre has been part of the Richemont Group, with its workshop in Le Sentier producing almost all movement components in-house. From design and construction to manufacturing and hand-finishing, 180 specialist crafts come together under one roof to create timepieces that unite timeless design with mechanical precision. The Maison's most famous creations include the Reverso, renowned for its Art Deco aesthetic; the sporty yet elegant Polaris with Memovox alarm; the classical Master collection featuring complications such as a tourbillon or perpetual calendar; and the feminine Rendez-Vous line with moon phase displays and other sophisticated complications.
